Professional staff development is another area where PA Principals Association provides you with invaluable services.

Below is a list of the current PIL offerings:

  • IMPROVING LEADERSHIP AND STUDENT LEARNING THROUGH SIMULATIONS

  • RESEARCH-BASED INSTRUCTION, SUPERVISION AND EVALUATION STRATEGIES TO IMPROVE STUDENT LEARNING (Recently Updated)

  • THE STRUCTURED STUDY OF STUDENT WORK
    • Newest workshop

  • EDCAMP
    • 40 PIL Hours
    • $99/person (discounted from the standard PIL course cost)
    • Minimum of 40 participants needed to hold workshop.
    • EdCamp can also be offered virtually.
    • This new EdCamp would be perfect for a Saturday, a day off school, after-school hours or summer inservice.

  • Micro-credentials – Online Professional Learning
    • 26 micro-credentials are being offered.

In addition, each year, PA Principals Association holds its annual LEAD Conference where the latest leadership and curricular issues are  highlighted. This is a great opportunity to hear from leaders in the field, talk with vendors and establish peer networks and earn Act 45 PIL hours and Act 48 hours.

We  also join with the PA Association of School Administrators in the summer to hold a PA Educational Leadership Summit with which members and district teams can attend and earn their Act 45 PIL hours and Act 48 hours.

2022 PA Educational Leadership Summit

  • August 7-9 – Lancaster County Convention Center
  • Earn up to 80 PIL hours (with the pre-conference EdCamp at additional cost)

LEAD22 Conference

  • October 16-18 – Kalahari Poconos Resorts
  • Earn up to 70 PIL hours (with a pre-conference PIL course and the EdCamp workshop held during the conference – both at an additional cost.)

Membership Dues’ Increase

An annual dues’ increase for your PA Principals Association membership will go into effect on July 1, 2022. All Active Memberships will be $605. This increase will be reflected in our July renewal notices.
