    • 40 PIL Hours
    • Cost: $99/person (discounted from the standard PIL course cost)
    • Minimum of 40 participants needed to hold workshop.
    • EdCamp can also be offered virtually.
    • This new EdCamp would be perfect for a Saturday, a day off school, after-school hours or summer inservice.

In addition, the PA Principals Association and the PA Association of School Administrators join together in the summer to host a PA Educational Leadership Summit which members and district teams can attend and earn their Act 45 PIL hours and Act 48 hours.

Launching Leadership

Welcome to School Leadership in Pennsylvania!

The purpose of Launching Leadership is to provide ongoing and consistent support for the highly influential position of a principal early in his/her career. Participants will engage in meaningful work and just in time learning as they navigate their school year.

Designed for School Leaders (principals) in their 1st or 2nd Year of Service

Learning Objectives:

  • Examine the School Leader Paradigm to understand:
    • the personal, social and systems intelligences needed to effectively lead a learning organization.
    • the cultural, systems and learning domains needed to effectively lead a learning organization.
  • Establish a professional learning network with principals from across the state for growth and support.
  • Define your context from the following perspectives: individual, school, community and political.
  • Learn strategies for building authentic relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Understand how to assess local context and culture/climate and work on techniques to build a positive culture of learning in your school.
  • Explore and practice organizational strategies, routines and systems useful in establishing time and task management frameworks.
  • Identify their school’s most critical problems of practice within the School Leader Paradigm.
  • Identify and connect with their PA Principals Association Regional Service Specialist and accountability partners.

The cost to attend is as follows:

  • $900.00 for PA Principals Association Member.
  • $1,200.00 for Non-Members.
  • $1,500.00 for both Launching Leadership and membership.
