Governor Wolf Signs SB 880

This morning, Governor Wolf signed Senate Bill 880 which places a two-year moratorium on using the Keystone Exams as a state graduation requirement. The bill states: “…the use of the Keystone Exam as a graduation requirement or as a benchmark for the need for participation in a project-based assessment shall be delayed until the 2018-2019 school year.” PDE will investigate “alternatives in addition to the Keystone Exams as a requirement for graduation ….” Details and more information is available in the bill itself.
