NASSP / FRAC Webinar—Principal Champions for Breakfast After the Bell in Secondary Schools

NASSP and the Food Research and Action Center (FRAC) will jointly host a webinar, “Principal Champions for Breakfast After the Bell in Secondary Schools,” on Wednesday, April 20 | 3:30–4:30 p.m. (ET).

Principals play a pivotal role in the successful rollout of breakfast after the bell programs, which integrate school breakfast into the school day and boost student participation. Studies have shown that well-nourished children experience fewer distractions in the classroom and have higher academic success. However, many low-income students who are eligible for free and reduced-price school meals do not participate in the school breakfast program.

At tomorrow’s webinar, the presenters will discuss the latest national school breakfast trends for the nation’s most vulnerable children. Attendees will also learn about the topline findings from FRAC and NASSP’s joint report capturing the experiences of more than 100 secondary school principals who have implemented an alternative breakfast service model.
