Return of free breakfast to school a welcome treat for students

Gov. Tom Wolf announced last month that he was bringing back the universal free school breakfasts starting this month through the end of the school year. He is using $21.5 million left over in the state’s school food service account to cover the cost of the meal not reimbursed by the federal government for all 1.7 million Pennsylvania students.
