Pa. schools scramble after Trump withholds critical education funding

Last week, the Carlisle Area School District’s administrative team went into triage mode.

Colleen Friend, the district’s superintendent, called a meeting to plan Carlisle’s next steps after the Trump administration announced it would withhold over $6 billion in federal grants for student services across the country, delaying $230 million that was to go to Pennsylvania schools.
