Celebrate National Assistant Principals Week!

This week, April 3-7, 2023, is NATIONAL ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS WEEK! It is a time to thank and recognize YOU for your hard work, support and dedication to your schools, students and staff. We celebrate YOU this week, and every day! We know that the crucial role you play in our schools is sometimes overlooked, and we want you to know that we are here to support you, the unsung heroes, in our schools! Assistant principals work tirelessly to bolster teachers, motivate students, support their principal, create a positive learning community and also handle many daily challenges.
As an Assistant Principal, you are a valuable member of your district’s and school’s administrative TEAM, but that concept of TEAM is not something that just “happens.” An effective TEAM develops with time, shared goals and intentional communication. Each member of the TEAM plays a huge role in the TEAM’s success, the school’s success and ultimately the success of the students.
The Pennsylvania Principals Association wants to help as you develop your skills as a TEAM member. We have developed an Act 45 course specifically for the growth and refinement of effective TEAMS. We invite you to attend our Pre-Summit23 PIL session
to earn 30 Act 45 PIL hours, The TEAM: Building Leadership Success that Improves Student Learning, on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Alloy King Doubletree Hotel in King of Prussia, PA. The cost is $220.00 (and includes the cost of the book that you will receive upon arrival at the session). We are eager to have TEAMS of principals and assistant principals join us at this event, however you also have the option to attend on your own and build your “leading up” skills.
Whether you are part of a new TEAM who is working together for the first time or part of a TEAM who has worked together for years, we hope you will join us to build and enhance the essential concept of the TEAM.
