PA lawmakers embrace alternatives to high-stakes exams to earn a high school diploma

Pennsylvania is well on its way to joining a growing number of states that have decided that requiring students to pass high-stakes tests to graduate is no longer the direction it wants to go. The House on Tuesday voted 191-0 to pass an amended version of Senate Bill 1095 that gives students alternatives to passing the Keystone Exams to prove their graduation readiness.
