Poll Worker Recruitment

Attention Retired PA Principals Association Members!

I am reaching out on behalf of county election officials to ask for your help to address a serious and growing issue in elections: recruiting poll workers. For our county officials, filling 40,000-plus poll worker positions across the Commonwealth has become increasingly difficult. Here at the Pennsylvania Department of State we are working to increase public awareness of the need for poll workers and attract willing recruits to fill these positions. Poll workers generally work all day on Election Day, from before the polls open at 7 a.m. until after the polls close at 8 p.m. At the end of the night, poll workers deliver the returns to county election officials. We depend on these workers to run fair and secure elections.

Are you interested or do you know someone who sounds perfect for this kind of job? You can direct interested candidates to www.votesPA.com/getinvolved. To find out what else you can do to help recruit poll workers, talk to your county election office today!
