The COVID-19 pandemic is taking away another part of the normal school year for some students in Northeast Pennsylvania — snow days. Leaders from Lackawanna County districts, all of which offer either part-time or full-time virtual instruction, said in the event of severe winter weather or other emergencies, schools could provide classes through online learning platforms.
