Push is on for PA to begin to invest state dollars in after school programming

Sen. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-Northumberland) is proposing legislation identical to a bill already introduced in the House by Rep. Mike Schlossberg (D-Lehigh) to create a program dubbed “Building Opportunity through Out-of-School Time” or BOOST, in the state Department of Education to support quality programs during young people’s out-of-school hours.
