Pennsylvania House leaders seek $5.1B increase for 371 underfunded districts

Eleven leaders from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives are co-sponsoring legislation that will increase state funding for 371 underfunded school districts by $5.1 billion over the span of seven years.

The memorandum, which was sent to all House members this week, aligns with the funding recommendations of the state’s Basic Education Funding Commission’s majority report.
