Pennsylvania Department of Health lawyers ask court to uphold mask mandate challenged by GOP, parents

Lawyers for the acting head of Pennsylvania’s health department told a state appellate court on Thursday that the mask mandate for K-12 schools and childcare centers is legally sound, justified and “designed to preserve in-person education and protect students and teachers in the midst of a global pandemic.”
