PA lawmakers, advocacy groups want to see pandemic-related learning gaps closed

State and school officials issued a call for action Friday, pointing to declines in state standardized test scores as evidence that Pennsylvania’s students suffered learning losses during the COVID-19 pandemic. State education department officials acknowledged anomalies, such as the biology test scores, but cautioned against reading too much into the results.
