PA educators: teacher shortage a crisis, need shifts in law, regulations

Pennsylvania educators, school administrators and state officials testified during a House Education Committee hearing on teacher shortages. Collectively, they emphasized that a thinning workforce didn’t occur suddenly, but that the issue developed more than a decade ago and was exacerbated by the pandemic.
