How do you teach a kindergartner what to do when a shooter opens fire in school?

Since Columbine, schools have added security: locked doors, badges, cameras, and lockdown procedures, and now nearly two decades later, school administrators grapple with what more to do and how far to take security measures. In some schools, no student or staff member is left out, not even the youngest among them: kindergarten children.
