Education groups seek swift distribution of COVID-19 for vaccine for public school employees

This week, the PA Principals Association and seven other education groups sent a joint letter to Governor Tom Wolf and Acting Health Secretary Alison Beam asking for a specific plan to be developed for the quick distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine to those in educational settings. These organizations support the state’s current plan to first vaccinate healthcare personnel and are asking the administration to also consider providing school leaders, teachers and support staff across the commonwealth with access to the vaccine as quickly as possible.

The letter was signed by the PA Principals Association, PA School Boards Association (PSBA), PA State Education Association (PSEA), PA Association of School Administrators, (PASA), PA Association of School Business Officials (PASBO), PA Association of Career and Technical Administrators (PACTA), PA Association of Intermediate Units (PAIU) and the AFT Pennsylvania.
