Dueling gerrymandering fixes competing at Capitol

Competing measures to change the way the state draws political boundaries are moving in the state House and Senate. The plans in both chambers would create 11-member commissions to develop the political boundaries for both state legislative and congressional races. But the proposals differ on who would serve on the commission, how they would get appointed to it and more importantly when the commission would start its work.
