PA’s student teacher stipend program grows in second year but budget impasse delayed payments

In its second year, payments for the student teacher stipend — aimed at ensuring college students have a paycheck while completing required student teaching — were delayed because of Pennsylvania’s more than four-month-long budget impasse. That means this school year’s student teachers have not yet received their $10,000 payments.
