Pennsylvania school districts have borrowed more than $346 million so far to get through the state budget impasse, the auditor general said Tuesday, as Gov. Tom Wolf vetoed a short-term spending measure proposed by Republicans.

Following through on a promise made this spring “to create some civil disobedience,” six members of the Quakertown School Board were on hand recently to deposit a “check” for $3.4 million in a “lockbox” at the district’s administrative offices in Milford Township.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) is providing an opportunity for local education agencies (LEA) to attend a question and answer (Q&A) session that will address the details of the winter Keystone Exams precodes data collection, which will be submitted to the Pennsylvania Information Management System (PIMS).

The presentation and webinar related to this Q&A session can be downloaded and reviewed prior to Oct. 2, 2015, from PDE's website at www.education.pa.gov.  Type PAS in the search bar and the webinar and PowerPoint will be located under the 2015-16 trainings subheading.

After viewing the webinar, questions can be submitted in advance to ra-pas@pa.gov.  There will also be an opportunity to ask questions on Oct. 2, 2015.

PDE will be offering the Q&A webinar session via "GoToMeeting" on Oct. 2, 2015. PDE's Division of Performance Analysis and Reporting will be hosting this session. To register, please select the link provided below.
