The Pennsylvania Department of Education’s (PDE) Bureau of School Leadership and Teacher Quality (BSLTQ) has reviewed and updated the following Certification Staffing Policies and Guidelines (CSPGs):

CSPG 3 – Validity of a Certificate (6/1/2018) – clarified and updated vocational instructional certificate validity information.

CSPG 41 – American Sign Language (ASL) (7/1/2018) – revised the pathways to certification.

CSPG 45 – World Languages (6/1/2018) – added American Sign Language.

CSPG 66 – Vocational Intern and Instructional (9/1//2018) – added new work experience requirements and clarified related instructional areas.

CSPG 68 – English as a Second Language (ESL) Program Specialist (9/1/2018) – updated ESL staffing information.

CSPG 97 – Vocational Administrative Director (8/1/2018) – corrected and clarified appropriate certification for a Vocational Director.
