Recruiting Panelists for NAESP’s National Panel of New Principals

The National Association of Elementary School Principal’s (NAESP) premier program, the National Panel of New Principals, is up and running for the 2015-16 year and is actively recruiting panelists.

Now entering its third year, the panel includes nearly 1,000 first and second year principals from all 50 states, who participate in 4-6 brief, topical online surveys during the school year. The time commitment is small—a total of less than one hour per year. The results are published in a Rise & Shine brief that is proving highly popular among principals, education policy makers and the media.

The panel was featured in a recent EdWeek article as a groundbreaking initiative that is helping early career principals feel more connected to the profession, gain valuable insights from peers, and know that their voices are being heard.

Becoming a panelist is easy—principals in their first or second year of practice can simply enroll at newprincipal.org. The panel is open to all new principals—NAESP members and non-members alike.
