Opinion: Pennsylvania charter schools need real reform

I’ve written a lot about bad or struggling charter schools. I’ve made no secret of my feeling that although I recognize there are high-performing charter schools with specialized offerings that make sense, our state’s terrible charter school law also has paved the way for some really low-performing, poorly run ones that have drained needed resources from the public school system, are insufficiently accountable to anyone and were created for their money-making potential, not any educational need.
