VIRTUAL RALLY FOR EDUCATION FUNDING MONDAY — JUNE 21

Pennsylvania finally has a formula to help distribute state education funding, but we still lack is adequate state funding for education at any level – early childhood, K-12, community colleges and publicly supported universities.

On June 21, AFTPA will hold a Virtually Rally for Education Funding, and I am inviting our partners to amplify the message to legislators to make a significant and sustainable investment in education in the 2016-17 budget. Our goal on June 21 is to flood the Capitol with phone calls and emails demanding that legislators invest in pre-kindergarten, K-12, community college and state-supported universities.

Join us in calling for $400 million in additional funding for basic education funding this budget cycle, as well as urging lawmakers to provide new revenues to expand early-childhood programs and restore funding to our colleges and universities.
