Celebrate National Assistant Principals Week – April 8-12, 2019!

To recognize the significant role assistant principals APs play in the overall academic achievement of students, join the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) to celebrates National Assistant Principals Week, April 8-12, 2019. In collaboration with the American Federation of School Administrators, this is the time to honor the impact assistant principals have on the success of schools across the country.

  • Register now for AP webinars such as “Time Management: The Personal and Professional Life of an AP,” on Tuesday, April 9 at 3 p.m. ET.
  • Plan to take part in the #NAESPchat on “Celebrating Assistant Principals” Thursday, April 11 at 8 p.m. ET.
  • Use the Leading Lessons guide, “Collaborate to Align Learning,” to maximize the AP role.
  • Use sample language and graphics to celebrate #APWeek19 with your friends and colleagues on Twitter and Facebook. Another great idea: Record a video spotlight for your assistant principal. 
  • Check out resources highlighting best practices from assistant principals, as well as how principals can best support their APs.
  • Stay tuned to hear about the 2019 National Outstanding Assistant Principal award winners.
