Marshall J. Wagner to Lead Secondary Principals

(Harrisburg, PA)—Marshall J. Wagner, principal of Hollidaysburg Area Junior High School in the Hollidaysburg Area School District, has been named president of the Pennsylvania Association of Secondary School Principals (PASSP) for 2002-2003.

Mr. Wagner began his career in education as a classroom instructor at Reading Senior High School where he taught for nine years. He was also an assistant principal at Philipsburg-Osceola Area Junior Senior High School; principal of Moshannon Valley Junior Senior High School; principal of student services at Tyrone Junior Senior High School; and principal of Philipsburg-Osceola Area Senior High School.

He most recently served the PASSP Executive Board as president-elect, and prior to that he was the secretary. He is a member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the PASSP Joint Legislative Policy Committee, the Pennsylvania Principals’

Emergency Response Team (PERT – team leader) and the Joint Editorial Board. Mr. Wagner served on the conference committee in 2000 and was a member of the building and grounds committee.

Mr. Wagner is a member of the Blair County Principals’ Association and served on the Blair County Diversity Committee. He is also an instructor at St. Francis University.

He received a bachelor of science in education from the Pennsylvania State University, earned a master of science in education from West Chester University and received his educational administration certificate from the University of Pennsylvania.
