Budget Pain Hasn’t Hit Schools Yet

The pain from the state budget stalemate apparently has not caught up with school districts yet. School officials are nervous about delayed state aid payments, but all schools plan to open their doors as another academic year starts, state Education Secretary Pedro Rivera said on Monday, the 55th day of the stalemate.
