Court Dismisses Suit over Budget-Fight Holdup of School Aid

A Pennsylvania judge is dismissing a lawsuit over held-up state and federal school aid during a record-breaking budget stalemate. In Wednesday’s decision, Commonwealth Court Judge Mary Hannah Leavitt said the Pennsylvania School Boards Association lawsuit is effectively moot because of budget legislation that became law March 28.
