New PPC Pre-K Report Released

Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children (PPC) has released a report titled, “Pre-K Works, So Why Not PA?” The report revisits a 2017 PPC research product that highlighted the commonwealth’s commitment to providing pre-k in relation to other states that offer comparable high-quality programs. Despite the progress of the past few years, this report shows that Pennsylvania ranks in the bottom half of per capita investments for preschool aged children in 2017-18. This puts the commonwealth at a serious competitive disadvantage with our neighboring states such as New York, New Jersey, Maryland and West Virginia who invest more per capita.
