July 24th Statewide Meeting to Discuss PIAA Playoff Inequity and Possible Solutions

You are invited to meet on Tuesday, July 24 at the State College Ramada Hotel and Conference Center (1450 South Atherton Street State College, Pennsylvania 16801) to discuss the current inequity in PIAA playoffs, boundary/non boundary schools, the possibility and logistics of creating separate state championships for boundary and non-boundary schools, the leadership of the PIAA, and the possible formation of a separate entity to provide a fair, equitable playing field for all students and schools in Pennsylvania if appropriate action is not taken by either the PIAA or through legislation. Please plan to attend this important meeting in order to advocate for your district’s students. Momentum on the issue is high, and it is time to act. Solutions discussed and developed at this session will be delivered to the General Assembly’s Athletic Oversight Committee.
